'In Transit' is a chamber music ensemble that is dedicated to presenting performances of the highest standard. Their repertoire is usually cutting-edge contemporary music, and they have a flexible line-up that reflects the varying needs of toady's composers.
The ensemble is resident at the Cardiff New Music Collective (CNMC), within which performers and composers work together to perform and promote new music. This group has been responsible for comissioning many new works by exciting composers, inlcuding 'More Than Two Sides To A Story' and 'Whisper', by the internationally renowned composer and pianist Keith Tippett. This project was supported by the Arts Council of Wales and the PRS Foundation.
In a review of the ensemble's performance at the Glynn Vivian Gallery, The Big Issue said: "while displaying tremendous musicianship...the ensemble provides an unpretentious take on art and contemporary music... they deserve your attention".
